What to wear

At all times we insist that children wear soft shoes while inside the pre-school. Plimsolls or slippers are ideal. Outdoor shoes can be left in your child’s named box in the cloakroom during the session for them to change into before going home.

In order to feel free to explore and experiment with all kinds of materials and participate in all kinds of activities, including messy ones, it is best to send children in older clothes which are easily washable. It also helps if clothing is kept simple so that children can go to the toilet without having to ask for help with their clothing. In the summer when we play outside we would ask you to send in a sun hat for your child to wear. In colder weather children must bring a suitable coat so that they are able to play outside. Wellies are also a good idea for playing outside.

We do have pre-school t-shirts, polo shirts and sweat shirts available to buy. If you would like further information about this please speak to a member of staff.
